Dear PCOS Challenger,
I happened to see Alisa Vitti on The Dr. Oz Show one day in passing and she was discussing menstruation and the different types of menstrual flow. Her entire segment on the show caught my attention as she was discussing nutrition for our hormones and how to eat throughout the month. Everything she was discussing was relevant to women with PCOS.
I immediately thought that we needed to have Alisa on the PCOS Challenge radio show so that women with PCOS can learn more about their bodies, their hormones and their menstrual cycle. Then, Claudia, a PCOS Challenge member emailed me a week later to tell me about Alisa and how her program helped her to regain her "womanhood" and that she thinks having Alisa on the show would help others.
When researching Alisa, founder of FLO Living and author of the newly released book, Woman Code, I found that she is also a woman with PCOS who gave up her pursuit of becoming a doctor in order to find out how to heal herself naturally and to share that knowledge with other women who were experiencing issues and illnesses due to hormone imbalance.
Tune in to the show on Tuesday, May 7th at 6:30 PM EDT, if you've ever wondered:
- why your flow is heavy, painful and has clots;
- what brown spotting means;
- what no period means and how to normalize it;
if all soy is bad for you;
- if there is a certain way to eat that can help your hormones;
- and much more.
