Dr. Daniel Dumesic is a clinician-scientist who treats women with infertility from various reproductive and metabolic disorders. Dr. Dumesic is Professor and Division Chief of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Los Angeles. He leads an NIH sponsored clinical trial on Polycystic ovary syndrome and has served as Principal Investigator for several projects by providing extensive expertise in designing human clinical studies and procedures, diagnosing metabolic dysfunction, performing trans-vaginal ovarian ultrasonography, analyzing data and assessing clinical outcome measurements. Dr. Dumesic has also supervised the acquisition and analysis of research data compiled from these studies.
With 24 years of experience in human studies, Dr. Dumesic has a demonstrated record of successful and productive research projects regarding mechanistic and clinical aspects of metabolic diseases and their negative impact on female reproduction, including more than 145 publications in the field of reproductive endocrinology.
