Dr. Monica Best, Reproductive Endocrinologist and fertility specialist, discusses PCOS in lean women and provides recommendations for managing the condition.
Dr. Best joined Reproductive Biology Associates in the fall of 2013 after completing her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Best earned her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Michigan where she graduated with honors and with multiple academic awards to her credit. Dr. Best is a native of St. Louis and returned to Missouri for medical school where she was awarded a full academic scholarship to attend the University of Missouri School of Medicine. She was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship where she researched and later published work on the novel rapid non-genomic actions of sex steroids at the University of Pisa in Pisa, Italy.
Dr. Best completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Chicago School of Medicine. She went on to receive training in basic reproductive endocrinology, ovulation induction, in vitro fertilization, and minimally invasive surgery during her fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Best has published in peer reviewed journals, authored book chapters, and presented her research nationally.
