Sharon is the founder and director of the Nutrition and Diabetes Education Center (NADEC). Sharon received a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University and a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Central Michigan University. She is a Certified Diabetes Educator and worked for several years as the Director of Diabetes Education and Training for Civista Medical Center in Waldorf, Maryland. Sharon developed her teaching skills as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Nursing, at Bowie State University. She served her country as a Major, in the D.C. Air National Guard for many years before honorably retiring. While serving her country, she received extensive education in the areas of human relations and diversity. This training enables her to provide effective nutrition counseling to individuals of different ethic, cultural and racial backgrounds.
Sharon's goal is to educate, motivate and inspire individuals to make lifelong changes to improve their overall health. Her motto is "You can’t do better until you know better, but once you know better you are required to do better."
